Clothing Assistance Program (CAP)The Clothing Assistance Program (CAP) is to help every underprivileged child to be clothed and educated on how to properly care for clothing. While changing their thoughts on Hand-me- downs, they begin to think of it now as turnarounds.The Program is available to help children in Low-Income families, Shelters, Orphanages and Disaster Situations. The Clothing that we receive are both new and used. If the clothing will require repairs YTC’s fashion team assists in repairing or creating new items. This is our way in decreasing the waste in the environment while increasing the gift of giving.We are currently assisting in the New York area, Atlanta, Florida and Haiti. Fit for Fashion(F3)Our amazing Fit for Fashion program was created in the summer of 2014, as a way to develop the talents, skills and thinking of children ages 5-13 years old. The program is organized and team of enthusiastic individuals who are well versed in several areas of Fashion, Business, Entertainment and Fitness. With expertise in these areas it helps educate both parent and child on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and proper appearance in order to look and feel their best.
The program allows children to participate in a series of health, beauty, and fashion focused events including nutritional classes, walkathons, sewing/knitting workshops, fashion shows and fitness activities. Because this program is so popular it has been broken into two parts: an hands-on summer camp and year-round individual workshops/activities.
Requirements for children to join and stay active in the Fit for Fashion program are: To live within the five (5) boroughs of New York; maintain good conduct in classes; and to do a minimum of 4 community service hours per month.
